Well, one of the perks of selling real estate in Costa Rica is that when you go to a lovely jungle property to list it for your client, it only makes sense to check out the nearby waterfall and go skinny dipping.  Although, most of the focus of Gay Real Estate Costa Rica is the gay traveler and gay retiree market, occasionally, as in this case, my clients are straight.  We do not discriminate!  Not bad for a fifth career, huh?

But enough about gay real estate, let's talk lifestyle.

N
Now this is an hibiscus!!  With the ocean in the distance and the jungle in the foreground, AND a rainstorm coming from the mountains behind, it is quite a life experience to live here in paradise.  When we first decided to buy an oceanview lot and build our dream home, we never really imagined just how wonderful retirement could be in a tropical paradise where being gay is very comfortable and appreciated by the locals.  Turns out that Manuel Antonio is not just a fun gay vacation destination, it is quickly becoming a gay retirement destination.  Two more guys start their new house this month.

OK, so occasionally, we get a  little intruder.  Well, in this case, not so little.  That is to be expected, since everything is bigger in the jungle.  And this is a novel use for a tape measure in our house for sure.  I don't think this roach is gay and he certainly is not happy.  The good news for us gay boys.... it's dead, so NO MORE SCREAMING!!!!

Back to the "lifestyles" section of living in paradise.  For all you gay folk with sea-legs, we have on-going great news about the new marina here in Quepos, Costa Rica.  Marina Pez Vella is heavy into Phase II of the three phase project.  They just are finishing the space for three new restaurants.  One of them is the new location for the Quepos branch of Cafe Milagro, who has the great restaurant up in Manuel Antonio.  The marina will be adding 100 more boat slips, and an huge boat repair yard to lift the big  yachts.   Here is a sample of one of the party boats that is already here.  Yes, gay tour groups occasionally rent out entire boats and then it really is party time.!!!  I know gay vacationers who became gay retirees after one of these parties and never left!

Yes, Gay Life in Costa Rica marches on.  We are already planning for this year's Gay Pride Events in San Jose.  My guess is that it will be even bigger and better than last year's , as pictured here.

But even with all the great activities, we never forget why gay folks live and travel here.  Even with the International Sports  Bill Fishing Tournament, and fetish parties at Liquid Lounge,  the real reason we are here is PURA VIDA.
Cheers!
